George Gross helped save my father from certain death in April 1945 when he and his men liberated a train packed with Bergen-Belsen prisoners at Farsleben, Germany.

In researching this event, I've learned he was in the 30th.

I would love to contact George Gross and talk to him if possible. My father is still alive (at 87) and I am writing about his experiences for a book that will be published in 2008.

My email is levraphael@comcast.net.

Many thanks.

Did the man you are looking for serve in the Navy? If so, he is my father.
