ACn someone tell me the prcise unit of Sgt. Sammie C. Thomas. It was either the 119th or 120th (119th I think) He earned five battle stars and the bronze star. He was my great uncle, now deceased. As a youngster he told me specifically of how hard the fighting at Mortain was. A man who was with him in the war told of how Sammie had to shoot a German prisoner who made a run for it. Uncle Sammie never would talk of that. An any one guide me in the direction I need to go to find Sammie Thomas unit?
