If anyone remembers my grandfather Ardie (Red) Williamson 743rd tank battalion Tech 4 Sgt., I would greatly appreciate anything you could tell me about him in the war. He told me somethings, but I was too young he said to hear about it all. I would really love to know what really happened to him while he was in the war. Thank you again.

My Uncle was in A Co, 743rd. I have a letter from Sgt. Henry Welch, written to my Uncle on August 1, 1945. He mentions getting a 7 day furlough with Red Williamson. They went to the Riviera, had fun, and had alot of trouble getting back to the outfit when the furlough was over. Want a copy of the letter?

Hi . For the people who are interested in receiving a picture of the 743rd Co A Members; I can send the picture . The 743rd was in my town in september 1944 and liberated my village with the 30th Inf Division . Vincent Heggen belgium

i would love a picture of that....thank you all so much for your replies, i will go through my grandfathers pictures and i will try to find some that would be of interest to you all....he wrote names on the backs of most of them....thank you all so much. can you email the picture or do you need my address to send it to. thank you so much Mr. Heggen.
John Warner....i am pretty sure i have pictures of your uncle in my grandpas photos....i will be out of town for a couple of weeks but when i get back i can send them to you. would like them over the computer or through snail mail...i have been thinking of doing a website with my grandpas stuff.....i am so excited about this...thanks so much.
